In order that the water used in the particle bath can be disposed of, the legislation in force in the area where the plant that uses the test is located must be complied with. In the State of São Paulo, Decree 8468 of 08/09/76 is applied, which regulates Law 997 of CETESB, in articles 18 to 19A, and CONAMA Resolution 20 of 18/06/86 in article 21. Solid waste must be characterized according to NBR 10004, in the case of magnetic particles this waste is class II (non-inert waste). All waste generated is considered solid waste by the environmental agencies. For the disposal to be carried out, it is necessary that the interested party is in possession of the waste "letter of acceptance" which will be issued by a reprocessing company, landfill or incinerator that has the release of the State environmental agency. With the letter of acceptance, the "CADRI" is requested from the environmental agency, which is an authorization to dispose of the waste at the requested location
