Our Story

From 1992 onwards, following the death of its founder,  Mr. Nabil Gebrael , the company has been managed by  Mrs. Maria Izabel L. Gebrael .

Year after year, the company has increasingly gained the trust of its customers and maintained its position as a leader in the supply of consumables for Non-Destructive Testing using Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic Particle methods.

 Over the past few years, Metal-Chek has achieved significant milestones  :

  • 1994: First company in the sector to obtain ISO 9002 certification.
  • 2002: Obtaining ISO 9001:2000 certification and starting production of Dubl-Chek products under license from Sherwin Inc.
  • 2004: Obtained NBR 15100:2004 certification from CTA and became a listed manufacturer in QPL with Dubl-Chek products.
  • 2010: moved to the city of Bragança Paulista to its own premises.
  • 2013: Start of the nationalization of Spectroline products for Leak Detection.
  • 2015: includes in its corporate purpose the manufacture of chemical products for third parties.
  • 2018: Recertification of the quality management system according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

In this way, Metal-Chek secures its leading role in the chemical products market for Penetrant Testing and Magnetic Particle Testing, and diversifies by entering the area of ​​”private labeling” manufacturing services. The board of directors has been composed of the second generation of the family,  Andréia Maria LGP ​​Sobreira ,  Fernanda Cristina L Gebrael de Moura  , and  Luciana Julia Laczko Gebrael , since 2015.

Metal-Chek, a manufacturer of products and equipment for non-destructive testing and specialty chemicals, establishes the following management policy:

  • To reinforce the company’s leading market position through planned marketing, sales, and product development activities;
  • To maintain the company’s economic health through cost control and optimization of management processes, in order to generate higher revenue and a better profit margin;
  • To improve the performance of our products by enhancing their formulas, production processes, and packaging materials, while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations;
  • To ensure a good working environment through the use of best practices in social responsibility, occupational health, workplace safety, and environmental awareness;
  • Maintain actions to prevent pollution, including resource use, waste disposal, and wastewater treatment.

Facilities

It has three modern laboratories: technical, development and quality, to: Guarantee and continuously improve product quality;
Conduct production monitoring tests.

Concerned with environmental issues, the building has rainwater harvesting points for reuse in bathrooms and gardens; waterproofing treatment of the floor to prevent contamination;  treatment of all generated chemical effluents  so that they can be discharged into the sewer free of contamination; education, encouragement and application of selective waste collection in all areas of the company (from production to the office, from the cafeteria to the gatehouse) and, finally, the construction of a 3,000 m² green area, with a vegetable garden and fruit trees.

All of this is so that awareness of environmental issues and their impacts can be promoted, preserving the surrounding environment.
